Summary: This was a very brief article on Marie Antoinette's life. She was born on November 2, 1755 in Vienna, Austria. She was brought up to believe that she was going to be the Queen of France which later did happen when she married her husband. She had 2 children and had many scandels in her life. A mob came into the palace and forced her and her husband out. When Austria and Prussia declared war on France, she was accused of passing military secrets to the enemy. The royal family was arrested on suspicion of treason and imprisoned. Her husband King Louis XVI was convicted and executed on the guillotine. She was kept as a prisoner and was treated very cruely. Her 2 children Marie Therese and Louis XVII were taken away from her and Louis XVII died from what people say to be was Tuberculosis and malnutrition. Marie later joined her husnad at the guillotines. "She was executed without proof of the crimes for which she was accused. She was only 37 years old." I thought this was important because she was executed even thought there were no proof of the crimes that she was accused of. Marie Therese was her firstborn and was the only member of the royal family that survived.
